Musicianship
Courses & Curriculum
Listening-based music learning designed to develop real musical instinct and understanding.
Courses and curriculum designed to help students understand the language of music - not simply memorize information about it.
Building Musical Understanding
Music is more than notes on a page. Our musicianship resources help students develop an understanding of rhythm, melody, harmony, form, sound, listening, creativity, and the ways those elements work together. We believe musical knowledge becomes most useful when students can hear it, recognize it, understand it, and eventually put it to use in their own music-making.
Introduction to Music
Discover How Music Works
A broad and engaging introduction to the elements, sounds, styles, and ideas that make up music. Gives students a foundation for understanding what they hear and introduces the musical language they will encounter in future study. Designed especially for young learners, families, co-ops, and group learning environments.
Progressive Musicianship
Build musical understanding step by step
Courses that take students beyond an introduction and into the ongoing development of practical musical skill. Through progressive study of listening, rhythm, pitch, notation, theory, ear training, creativity, and musical application, students gradually develop a more fluent understanding of the language of music. Rather than treating these skills as isolated subjects, the courses help students understand how they work together in real music.
