Something Good Growing Here
Hi, we’re Tim and Patience, and this is Hidden Harvest Music Co.
We have been looking forward to saying that with the doors wide open.
Last fall, we introduced HHMCo through a soft launch. Since then, we’ve spent the past year working through what it means to give this vision a real, useful home. We’ve developed curriculum, shaped services, thought carefully about community, and kept returning to the same question: Does this reflect the kind of musical life we’re here to cultivate?
Today, we’re welcoming you into what has been growing.
Welcome to the official public launch of Hidden Harvest Music Co.
And yes, we’re excited.
There is a great deal of thought, prayer, work, and life behind that sentence.
We’re musicians, songwriters, composers, and parents of four. Music was part of our story long before HHMCo had a name. It helped bring us together, became woven into our family, and continued to matter through seasons when pursuing it required us to reconsider what that pursuit could look like.
We wanted to take the music seriously. We also wanted to honor our marriage, raise our children, and live faithfully within the life God had given us. We kept looking for ways those things could grow together.
Over time, that question opened into something much larger than our own creative work.
We began envisioning a music company where excellent craftsmanship and a full, meaningful life belong together. Where learning makes room for curiosity and deep understanding. Where artists have practical help carrying their work forward. Where a song can be shared with care, a gathering can make room for real listening, and people can find one another through something they love.
That vision has become HHMCo.
Building it has meant making hundreds of decisions, including some that looked small from the outside. How do we teach? What kind of support would actually help a musician? How do we invite people into community with generosity? What can we offer well in this season, and what needs more time to develop?
We’ve cared about those questions because we care about the life that will happen here.
We want a student to grow in musical understanding and find pleasure in the work. We want an artist to have the support to bring a meaningful project into the world. We want people to encounter music that stays with them, and to have somewhere to share it when it does.
Our faith is woven through all of this. We believe God has entrusted us with work worth doing, and we’re glad to give ourselves to it.
There is a steadiness that comes from knowing whose you are. Our identity is settled in Christ, and that gives us room to pursue this work wholeheartedly: to be ambitious in our care, thoughtful in our decisions, open to learning, and patient with growth.
So we’re stepping into this next season with our heads up and a very real smile. We believe we have something wonderful to offer, and we’re ready for you to encounter it.
What does that look like in practice?
It looks like piano tuning and live music. Personalized piano and voice coaching. An Introduction to Music course we’ve been working hard to bring to life, with a larger Progressive Musicianship pathway developing beyond it. Practical artist support for the systems, presentation, and release work that help music reach people.
The Orchard is our place to share discoveries, reflections, resources, and happenings. The HHMCo Network is a way for musicians, educators, listeners, hosts, and others to find connection. Artist Gatherings are part of our vision for bringing people closer to the music and the person behind it.
Together, these take shape through three simple words: Grow. Share. Multiply.
Some parts are ready for you to explore now. Others are taking shape, and we’re looking forward to introducing them as they’re ready. We intend to keep building with the same care that brought us here.
And this journal will let us bring you along.
We’ll share music we love, ideas we’re working through, useful things we’ve made, and conversations with people whose work deserves a closer listen. You’ll get to know the company, and us, as the work unfolds.
You don’t have to be a professional musician to have a place here. There is room for the person learning, the person creating, the person hosting, and the person who simply loves a good song. There is room for different backgrounds, different seasons of life, and different ways of participating.
Have a look around. Listen to something. Tell us what you’re working on. Let us know what caught your attention.
We’ve put a great deal of ourselves into Hidden Harvest, and opening it more fully to you is a joy.
We’re Tim and Patience and this is Hidden Harvest Music Co. We’re glad to have you come along.
